have contracted with L.E.privacy to provide employees with an annual subscription
to remove the employee’s personal information (name, telephone number, home
address) from the internet. The process
is known in the industry as an Opt-out procedure and our company primarily
targets people-search websites and online databases that display and sell identifiable
information. This information is often
used to locate people for harassment, residential crimes, identify theft crimes
and or “Doxing”. Doxing is a practice of
locating the name and address of a specific individual (usually a public figure,
peace officer or elected official), and then posting the information on social
media in order to harass and threaten the individual.<o:p></o:p></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;"><br></span></div>

active and retired law enforcement from the County and City of Los
Angeles. Our main goals is to provide
law enforcement, elected officials and public employees the ability to maintain
their career, raise a family and enjoy a private home life, with an added layer
of protection from harassment and threats to their safety and security.<o:p></o:p></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;"><br></span></div>

procedure, L.E.privacy uses California Government Code 6254.21, California
Consumer Protection Act of 2018, Google’s removal of personally identifiable information
(PII), as well as each people-search website's, own privacy policies. These
policies and our opt-out procedure only pertain to each client’s <u>current
home address</u>. <o:p></o:p></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;"><br></span></div>
<div><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;"> The time frame of the opt-out procedure
varies based upon the totality of circumstance.
The majority of the time it can take 1- 2 days to remove a client’s
information. Be advised that the initial opt-out procedure may take one to two
weeks, based upon the influx of service to DCFS employees during the initial
account set-up. The remaining issues
fall under two categories. First, some
websites are very slow to respond and it may take up to 10 day to process the
information. Second, some websites require several opt-out attempts, using
several methodologies and may require a client to provide material verifying their
own identity. We deal with over 120 different
people-search websites and databases, located throughout the country. Some
websites comply and respond, while a select few require several attempts, because
they run websites without adhering to state and federal laws. Please call or
email us to inquire about our Cease and Desist Order. <o:p></o:p></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;"><br></span></div>

own client dashboard, in which they may access and update their personal
information. They may also view reports, verify the work performed and the status
of their opt-out procedure. L.E.privacy
appreciates transparency and strives to provide this to our clients. We monitor our clients on a monthly basis. The
internet is a “Big Place” and when dealing with an immense amount of data,
things can be overlooked. Here are a few
examples of circumstances which complicate or slow the process: <o:p></o:p></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;"><br></span></div>

common names in large cities, different spellings of the names, lack of middle initial,
maiden names, and/or Jr. and Sr. living in the same city. <o:p></o:p></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;"><br></span></div>

publishing companies are formed frequently.
For example, if you find an internet website that has your information
posted, we strongly encourage the client to send us an email to [email protected],
and include the exact URL, name of the website/or publishing company, and the
information listed. The best way to do
this is to copy and paste the URL (from the address bar), into the email. This method will allow us to expedite the
removal of your information. <o:p></o:p></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;"><br></span></div>

deemed within the public domain. For
example, legitimate news stories may publish only a client’s name. As a government employee it is within the
public domain to publish your name, title and salary. Supreme Court of Ca, 2007, LA Times v. the State
of California. Please also be advised
that when you have major life changes (i.e. buying a home or new vehicle) the
internet publishing companies have temporary access to your personal information. Therefore, you will need to update your
status through our secure account login. <o:p></o:p></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;"><br></span></div>
